This class will help develop a yoga program that meets you exactly where you are at so that you can progress in a way that supports you. You will receive more one on one attention than in a drop in class; this is a faster way to make progress and reach your goals.

Do you have constant back pain and tension? Did you know that all movement originates from the spine? If we work at improving the relationships between our spine and other parts of our body, we can move and feel better! In this class, we will explore the relationship between the large joints in our body and how that relates to our back pain. Often the problem is not the back so when we begin to improve the mobility and stability of the shoulders and hips our breath our back pain begins to change. We will focus on unwinding the patterns that lead to pain and tension and work on cultivating more functional relationships in our bodies.

WHAT IS THERAPEUTIC YOGA?
Therapeutic yoga is a mindful and personalized approach to decrease stress, pain and tension. Therapeutic yoga uses a systematic approach utilizing a combination of yoga postures, breathing techniques and meditation to decrease or eliminate the pain you are experiencing. The process introduces the concept of moving well to unwind tension and increase stability and mobility. When you move better you will feel better.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
Your one-hour session will introduce you to concepts of pure movement. You will learn how to move in your optimal range of motion to decrease your pain and increase your stability. Starting slow is essential to the healing process so that new movement patterns can be developed for long term changes. After your session, we will customize a personal program that fits the needs and demands of your life.

Therapeutic yoga can benefit anyone who simply wants to feel better. No previous yoga experience required, just a willingness to feel better so that you can get back to doing the things that you love. This approach can help the following but is not limited to:
